Akshay Kumar & Arshad Warsi’s film Jolly LLB 3 postponed on Karan Johar’s special request? Here’s what we know

Jolly LLB 3 is among the most eagerly awaited films of 2025. Starring Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, the courtroom comedy-drama was initially slated for release on 10th April. However, it has now been learned that the film’s release has been postponed to a later date, reportedly due to a request from filmmaker Karan Johar.

Akshay Kumar & Arshad Warsi’s Jolly LLB 3 postponed

According to a recent report by Bollywood Hungama, Jolly LLB 3 will no longer hit cinemas in April 2025 but will instead be released in August. A source close to the production revealed that Akshay Kumar and his team made this decision at the request of Karan Johar. The filmmaker is planning to release Kesari Chapter 2, which also stars Akshay, on 18th April 2025.

The source stated, “Karan Johar is planning to bring another franchise film, Kesari 2, on April 18, 2025. He requested Akshay if he could reschedule the date of Jolly LLB 3, and the Khiladi was more than gracious to do the same.”

About Kesari Chapter 2

The report further noted that Kesari Chapter 2, featuring Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday, and R Madhavan, will take the release date previously assigned to another Karan Johar production, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. The latter, a romantic comedy starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, will now be postponed to the second half of 2025.

Kesari Chapter 2 is a historical drama inspired by the life of C Sankaran Nair, a prominent lawyer and freedom fighter.
